TERRY, William Michael (Bill) April 19, 1941 - November 13, 2010 It is with profound sadness our family announces the sudden tragic passing of our beloved husband, father, brother and friend “Bill” Terry at the age of 69 on Saturday, November the 13th at Hamilton General Hospital. "Bill" will be forever missed by his loving wife Valerie (Beck), and her family in Dundas, daughters Joanna Terry of Burlington, Kathryn Terry (Eddy) of Toronto, his cherished grandchildren Tyler Chong and baby Hannah. Bill was predeceased by his parents Bill and Etta Terry, his sister Olive Gibbard of Ottawa. He is survived by his sister Pat Vasey (Ron) of Burlington and will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews, many golf and snooker friends and extended family Jim and Vivian Thornton. Bill served in the Royal Canadian Air Force Mt. Hope primary reserve, he was a Heritage member of the Dundas Valley Golf and Country Club, an Ordinary Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br#36 in Dundas, the Hamilton Air Force Association in Dundas and the Ontario Senior Snooker League. He was one of the four founding members of the Ancaster Rotary Club and was named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations between peoples of the world. He was an accountant by trade who gathered a very broad scope of experience over the years, the challenge of which provided him with a deep sense of accomplishment. Cremation has already taken place as per Bill’s wishes. There will be a family interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Hamilton. There will be a celebration of his life Friday, November 26, upstairs at the Hamilton Air Force Association in Dundas, on King Street East, from 1 to 5 p.m. The family would appreciate in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the "ICU East" at the Hamilton General Hospital. The family would like to thank the staff of ICU East for their care and compassion during this most difficult time.
