CROWLEY, Albert Gerard (December 5, 1923 - April 9, 2012). Left this world peacefully at his residence at R.R. 3 Hastings, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 9, 2012 in his 89th year. Loving and devoted husband of Anne (Ferren) for almost 58 years (June 12). Cherished father of Teresa Crowley-Kozar (Garry) of Peterborough; Katherine Sharpe and grandson Colin of Peterborough; Colleen Crowley McConkey (John), granddaughter Julianne, grandson John Albert of Peterborough; John (Cynthia Jibb), granddaughter Christina (fiancé Andrew Arklie), grandsons Justin & Ryan, granddaughter Vanessa of Hastings; Albert (Zita Young), grandson Eric, and granddaughters Angela, Emily and Rachel of Hastings; and foster son, Bob Miron of Owen Sound. Dear brother of Anne Crowley of Peterborough. Predeceased by his father, Bartholemew and his mother, Katherine (Lynch) and by brothers and sisters Josephine Waters (Edward); Cassie Collins (Joe); Mary Crowley; Frank Crowley (Margaret); Margaret Hurley (Kevin); and special niece, Mary Gibson (Vince). Also survived by his many cousins, nieces and nephews. Albert (Ab) dedicated his life to dairy farming on the family farm at Crovalley Holsteins in Hastings, achieving Master Breeders Award Status. He also was a strong committed community member over the years, serving on the Peterborough County School Board, Asphodel Township Council, Cemetery Board, President and coach for Hastings Minor Sports, but always found time to enjoy his family and friends. Resting at Brett Funeral Chapel, 76 Bridge Street N., Hastings, (705-696-2222) from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2012. A Funeral Mass will be held at OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL CHURCH, 51 Albert Street E., Hastings, Monday, April 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Hastings. Reception and Luncheon to follow at the Dreamland Resort Banquet Hall, River Road, (across from the Crowley farm), Hastings. If desired, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
