Helen Natalia POWOROZNYK (nee Wira)

POWOROZNYK, Helen Natalia (nee Wira) Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, after a short illness, on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Elias who predeceased her in 1978. She will be dearly missed by her loving children Thomas Powers (Mary), JoAnne Fedun (Paul), Chris Cord (Bill) and Harry Poworoznyk (Kelly), and her beloved grand-children Elias, Adrian, Alexandra, Courtney (Jordan) and Gregory. Dear sister of Alice Melnyk (nee Wira), and late brother Robert Wira (Sonia), and predeceased by her sisters-in-law Molly Martyniuk (Walter), Ollia Wowk (Paul), and Julia Yarem (Joseph). Helen was a loving Chocha to her many nieces and nephews and a caring godmother. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter 'Yorke' Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto (at Windermere Ave., east of Jane subway) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 135 LaRose Ave., Toronto, on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 600 Spring Gardens Rd., Burlington at 12:30 p.m. For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society or St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church would be appreciated.
