Cornelis (Casey) MEYER
MEYER, Cornelis (Casey) Peacefully at Dunnville War Memorial Hospital, at the age of 74, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday December 9, 2012. Casey was the devoted husband of Shirley, (nee Connolly), for 54 years. Cherished father of Patty (Bill), Diane (Mick), Jenny (Dave), Tracy (Gary) and Jason (Chrissy). Proud Grandpa of 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also dearly missed by his 4-legged companion, Charlie. Predeceased by his father Cornelis, mother Gerda, Brother Tom and sister Gerda. Surviving siblings Willy, Hank, Joe and John. Born in Holland, Casey came to Canada in 1954. Casey was a dedicated employee of The Burlington fire Department in Communications until he retired in 1998. Our Husband, Father and Grandfather was a big man, not in stature, but in our eyes. He will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of Casey's life will be held on Sunday January 6th, 2013 at The Beamsville Legion. 5545 Hwy#8 Beamsville, Ont.
