GLOVER, Douglas Leonard; May 19, 1939-December 19, 2012. Life long Mechanic/Magician Passed away peacefully at his home on the hill in Wasaga Beach. Survived by his John Deere Dozer, loving sons Jeffrey James (Tess) and Joel Gordon, grandchildren Jin Annette, Jesse Daniel, James Robert, Mathew Gordon, Life Companion Betty Allbutt and her family, brother Don, sisters Gladys (Vernon), Jean (George) Fike, sister-in-law Babs Griffiths, brothers-in-law Allan (Marilyn) and Ross Coomb, as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his wife Shirley, stepson Greg Coomb, parents Bob and Pearl and best friends William "Chuck" Griffiths, "Big" John Driscoll, Louis Riel "Jesse" Desgagne, and Buddy the life saving dog. A heartfelt thank you for the kindness and support shown by the staff at R.V.H, the St. Elizabeth nurses and homecare workers and Dr. A. Singh for braving the drive up the hill to administer care. Thank you as well to the Wasaga Beach locals for all their support. A Christmas Celebration of Life took place at the family cottage, Wasaga Beach on Sunday December 23, 2012. A memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to R.V.H Cancer Care Barrie or your local Salvation Army branch would be appreciated. "There, but for the grace of God, go I".
