Paolo "Paul" De Divitiis
DE DIVITIIS, Paolo "Paul" With a broken heart we announce the passing of Paolo "Paul" De Divitiis on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Juravinski Hospital. Son of Ettore and Antonietta De Divitiis. He was surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Anna De Divitiis. Cherished father of 7 sons Ettore, Michele, Sergio, Paolo, Enzo, Carlo and Mario and 2 daughters, Annapaula and Vitamaria. Father-in-law to Jaime, Sara, Lori-Anne and Kristin. Nonno will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Nicholas, Zander, Angelina, Antonio, Paolo III, Costa and Natalia. Loving brother of Ernesto (Carmela), Vito (Anna) and Antonietta. Predeceased by Giuseppe (Antonietta), Luigi and Pasquale (Tina). Paul will also be sadly missed by all his nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul was born in Cassanno, Italy and came to Canada in 1954. Many people were proud to call him their friend and will remember him as the exuberant owner of the Hunt Club, Front 54 (Moose and Goose), Amici's Banquet and Conference Centre (Arizona's Taps & Grill), Stella's Dining Lounge, Envy Lounge and Gord's Place. He was known to people as more than a friend but as a second father, role model, provider and an ambassador of hope and dreams. Paul's family will receive friends at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME , 2 Regent St., Thorold on Thursday, January 3rd from 6-9 p.m. and Friday, January 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 21 Queen St. S., Thorold on Saturday, January 5th at 11 a.m. The Rite of Committal to follow at Pleasantview Cemetery, Highway 20, Fonthill. Vigil prayers will be celebrated at the funeral home on Friday at 3 p.m. Memorial donations in memory of Paul to the Holy Rosary Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
