Vera MACPHERSON

MacPHERSON, Vera July 22, 1925 - January 5, 2013 Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital after a brief battle with pneumonia. She has passed from this life to join her beloved husband Bill, daughter Kim and daughter-in-law Linda. Born in England, Vera immigrated to Galt, Ontario with her husband and son Stuart in 1948. Vera had a full life, filled with many trials as well as great joys. She worked hard most of her life having held a variety of positions. Her personality and joking nature brightened a room and brought laughter to many. She always enjoyed family, friends and her Church. In later years she joined the Allan Reuter Centre and The Cambridge Capables where she enjoyed many fun-filled activities. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Stuart MacPherson, daughter Barbara Jamieson (Elgin); grandchildren Shannon (Bryan), Stacey (Jeff), John (Lauren), Christie (Scott), Jenny (K.J.), Becky (Brian), and Andrew; and great-grandchildren Christina, Jordan, Hailey and Tyler. Vera is also survived by her brother Geoff Shaw (Jan) in England, brother-in-law Fred MacPherson (Betty), and by sister-in-law Isabelle Lynes (Gord). Resting at Corbett Funeral Home , 95 Dundas St. N., Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Wednesday January 9, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday January 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 181 Myers Rd., Cambridge. Interment will take place at Mount View Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to either the Missionary Fund of the Cambridge Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or The Children's Miracle Network would be appreciated by the family.
