KURLUK, Daniel (May 1, 1922 - January 3, 2013) After a wonderful life, on Thursday, January 3, 2013, Daniel Kurluk in his 91st year passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital. Leaving behind his loving wife Helen (nee Lomas) of over 69 years, daughters Barb (Allan), Linda (Mike) and son Robert (Deborah). Grandpa will be sadly missed by Michael, Mark, Kris, Katie, Emma and Hayden. Dan is predeceased by his parents John and Mary and brothers Ted and William, originally of Rhein Saskatchewan. Dan was an active member of the Waterdown Legion 551 Fiddlers. Dan loved to play his fiddle at any opportunity, particularly with his wife Helen and other Legion members where they played every Thursday. Dan loved a good party and any opportunity to pick up the microphone and say a few words. Above all, Dan was proud of his family and participated in all of their accomplishments. Dan leaves behind a legacy of strength, love and determination. The family extends a heart-felt thank you to Dr. Darcel for his caring and compassion.
