DESJARLAIS We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our relatives, friends, colleagues and neighbours for their kind words of condolence and comforting support in the loss of Gil, loving husband, father and brother. Thank you to all those who sent floral tributes, made donations to Project Share or sent contributions of food and cards of sympathy. Your support meant the world to us at this difficult time and we truly appreciate your generosity and thoughtfulness. Thanks to Drs. Rusnak, Findlay, Sawula, and Kerley and to the oncology department at the St. Catharines General Hospital. A sincere thank you to Irene Fisher and Sue Abrahms from ParaMed for their compassionate care of Gil at home. A special thank you to Ed and Ruth-Ann Nieuwesteeg and staff at Patterson funeral home for their professionalism and their help. Our sincere appreciation to Pastor Mike Krause from Southridge Community Church for his ministry and spiritual guidance. Extra special thanks to Gil's sister Joyce Desjarlais and sister-in-law Linda Tracey for their nursing support in helping to keep Gil comfortably at home. Thanks to Gil's brother Brian Desjarlais and friend Jim Cardwell for their heartfelt and uplifting tributes to Gil during the service. Gil enjoyed life as he lived it with a positive outlook and a generous spirit. When faced with challenges over the years, Gil met each one with dignity and grace.
