ELSDON, James Masters After a lengthy battle with cancer, Jim Elsdon passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Sunday January 6th, 2013. Jim of Midland, ON was in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Winn Elsdon (April 20, 2006) and best father ever to four children: Timothy (Christine), Cindy (Dave), Kathy (Ralph) and Andrew (Avery). Adored by his five granddaughters: Melissa (Nathan), Vanessa (Jonathan), Tara (Colin), Ashley (Chris) and Amanda (Lorne); step-grandsons Tylere and Parker; along with his great grandchildren Sophie and Charlotte. Loving brother to Donald Elsdon (April 7, 1999) and family of Nanaimo, BC. Jim Elsdon was born in Montreal, Quebec and grew up helping run the family business (Woodacres Hotel). Many years were enjoyed while surrounded by family, many friends and lots of love and laughter at the family's cottage on Lake Memphremagog (Eastern Townships, Quebec) and in Lost Bay (Southern Georgian Bay, ON). He will be fondly remembered not only by his family and close friends here in Ontario but also in Quebec, BC, Nova Scotia, and Florida. "A great Husband, Father and Friend....and always a gentleman. We will deeply miss you!" If desired, memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the All Saints Anglican Church directly (Penetanguishene, ON) or at the Celebration of Life (January 15th). Arrangements entrusted to the NICHOLLS FUNERAL HOME CREMATION CENTRE in Midland, ON. The Elsdon family invites friends of Jim to attend a "Celebration of Life" which will take place at the Brooklea Golf & Country Club - Midland, ON - Tuesday January 15th, 2013 from 4:30pm-7:30pm
