Mayer, Martha Peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Chateau Gardens LTC, Elmira at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Earl Mayer (1985). Dear mother of Sandra and Larry Witmer of Kitchener, Pat and Jim Edgeworth of Princeton, John and Olga Mayer of London, and Ann Mayer of Elmira. Lovingly remembered by her nine grandchildren William (Annette) Witmer, Kimberly Witmer (Paul Pennicetti), Tracy (Herb) Pigorsch, Pamela (Russel) Beech, Rob Edgeworth (Karen Fallas), Brian (Angela) Edgeworth, Diane Edgeworth, Adam Mayer, and Amanda Mayer, and nine great-grandchildren Jacob, Cooper, Gillian, Kaleigh, Caroline, Lauren, Kayla, Jayda, and Sean. Sister of Louisa Bender of Kitchener and Miriam Yutzi of Baden, and sister-in-law of Verna Bender of Tavistock. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Lydia Bender, son Charles, sisters Mildred (Lloyd) Erb and Marilla (Al) Moreash, brothers Percy (Alma) Bender and Warren Bender, brothers-in-law Earlis Yutzi and Don Bender. At Martha's request cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation. A memorial service for family and friends will be held in the chapel at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. In Martha's memory, donations to Elmira District Community Living would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. www.dreisingerfuneralhome.com
