Gladys PICKARD
PICKARD, Gladys Of Wiarton and previously of Southampton, passed away peacefully at Gateway Haven Nursing Home on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, in her 95th year. Cherished mother of Roena (Randy) Dykin of Lethbridge, Alberta and Eric Przybylowski (Mary Anne Sanvido) of Port Elgin. Special grandmother of Scott (Jennee), Kimberly and Ashley and great- grandmother of Joshua and Harper. Gladys was predeceased by her first husband Roman Przybylowski, infant daughter Susan, second husband Ken Pickard, long time companion Bruce Subject, parents Ann and Albert Gale and brothers Charles, Bert, Joseph and Harry. Gladys will be missed by Bruce's son Paul Subject (Chris) of Burlington, Eileen, Ernie, Beryl, Pat (Allan) and Rosemary (Mick) and families in England. Gladys was a WWII vet in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) and immigrated to Canada in 1952 with Roman to start a new life in Red Lake, Ontario. She was a proud Royal Canadian Legion life member, loved to garden, loved dogs (bred and raced greyhounds with her dad) and enjoyed rides in the countryside. Private family arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME , Wiarton. Interment Marymount Catholic Cemetery, Guelph.
