FERREIRA, Joao Antonio At home, peacefully, with his family by his side, on Friday, March 26, 2010 in his 66th year. Beloved husband and soulmate of Albertina for 40 years. Adored father of John Paul (Rosella), Steve (Jodie), Christine (Peter), and Christopher (Katie). Loving grandfather of Jenna, Olivia, Anthony, Joshua and Alicia. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers James (Fatima), Manuel (Idalina), and Dennis (Jane). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Joao was a retiree from Dofasco after 35 years as a dedicated employee in the coke and iron division. A very special thank you to Dr. Goffin and Beth Almas and the staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and also to Nuala Palmer of the V.O.N. A heartfelt thank you to all the friends and family who were there at his side to give their support in such a time of need. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers Monday 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary’s Church on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In kindness, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
