KOVACH, Jennifer Ashley It is with immeasurable sadness that our family shares the tragic news of the death of our precious daughter, Constable Jennifer Ashley Kovach, aged 26 years, who tragically passed away as a result of an on-duty motor vehicle collision in the early hours of March 14, 2013. She leaves to grieve her mother, Gloria Kovach; together with her brother and sister-in-law, Brian Kovach and Melissa Francis and her precious niece Paige Ashley of Ottawa; her devoted grandparents, Chester and Elvira Janicki, her uncle Richard Janicki and cousin Lucas. She will be lovingly remembered by her boyfriend Kyle Schlosser. Jennifer is also survived by her father, Bill (Donna) Kovach, their daughter Emily, loving Nana and Poppa, Steve and Audrey Kovach, her uncle Jerry (Andrea) and cousin Marshall and uncle Jamie (Carol-Ann). She will also be missed by the Hiskett families. She leaves behind her "D" platoon to continue to serve her community and her multitude of amazing friends to continue her legacy. She was the caregiver of her beloved rescue animals Romeo, Morgan and Elliott. Born in Guelph on September 10, 1986, she graduated from Centennial High School, Guelph, and Conestoga College Police Foundations, Doon Campus and then went on to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a police officer. She was honoured to have been able to serve her home community as a member of Guelph Police Service where she carried out her responsibilities with dedication and determination. In addition to policing, she had many other passions including dirt biking, quading, motorcycles, skiing, animals, and of course her gnomes. In her legacy, she will also be remembered for her love of children, her gregarious smile, her kindness and her ability to "live life loud". Visitation will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service for Jennifer will be held at the Sleeman Centre, Guelph, on Thursday, March 21st at 11:30 a.m. The family requests that in the place of flowers, donations can be made to the Jennifer Kovach Memorial Trust Fund which will honour her memory and her love of children and animals or to the Guelph Humane Society. Donations can be made at any branch of the Royal Bank of Canada to the Jennifer Kovach Memorial Trust fund or to the Guelph Humane Society www.guelph-humane.on.ca. Donations can also be made at the funeral home. Forever Remembered as a Hero in Life, not death.
