CASTLE, Carol Lee November 28, 2017 It is with deep sadness that her family announces the death of Carol Castle. Never known for making a fuss, she left us as quietly as she lived, on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Oakville Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Windsor, Ontario on September 10, 1942, the daughter of Irma and Lionel Lauzon, Carol moved to Oakville in 1953, where her father was employed at Ford. A few years ago she relocated to Hagersville with her husband and mother. Carol is survived by her devoted husband of more than fifty-three years, Gordon Castle. She leaves two children, Wendy (Turner) and Dean Castle (Michelle), and two grandsons, Joshua and Jayden, as well as sister Lorraine (Wark). She was predeceased by both parents and a brother, Dennis. Carol is fondly remembered by her extended family, friends and neighbours, and former associates at The Salvation Army's Editorial Department where she was employed for many years. No one who knew her could ever forget Carol's warm, beaming smile, or her loving kindness to all who came into contact with her. She has left us all with hearts full of wonderful memories. There will be a celebration of Carol's life at the Oakville Salvation Army Community Church on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at eleven a.m. Anyone who wishes to honour Carol's memory with a donation should consider the good work of The Salvation Army, or other charity of their choice.
