Elaine was a resident of Ancaster, ON for 56 years. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Errol Reid (retired from Hamilton Wentworth Regional Police), her father David Gray, mother Vivien Gray, sister Barbara Lou Litchfield and son David Reid. Elaine will be sadly missed by her children Janice Stapleton (Gary), Patty Labadie (Graeme), Mike Reid (Shirly) and her grandchildren Ashleigh, Shelby, Adam, Sara, Lauren, Evan and Sarah as well as her nieces and nephews Carolyn, Beverly, Gwen and Jon and great-nephews Justin and Thomas and her beloved dog Kai. A graduate of the 1950 nursing class at the Hamilton General she spent her entire career working at Henderson Hospital (now the Juravinski Center). Elaine was always active with the alumni association and looked forward to the yearly class gatherings. She participated in many activities at the Ancaster Senior Center including singing in the choir, one of her passions. Elaine had a great love of music, literature, knitting and animals of all kinds, but especially her beloved dogs. Many thanks to all the amazing, compassionate and caring staff at Wellington Terrace for making her feel so special and taking such good care of her in her time of need. Cremation has taken place, with a Private Interment to follow. Please join us for a Memorial and light refreshments on April 29th from 3 - 6 p.m. at Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home, 378 Wilson St. E., Ancaster ON.
