Leah OELTJEN Obituary

OELTJEN, Leah Elizabeth 23 August 1987 - 30 December 2018 Leah left us in her beloved Miramichi, New Brunswick on a beautiful winter day. She was born in California and moved to Canada with her mother when she was seven. Having lived in England, Ireland, Germany, British Columbia and New Brunswick after leaving her hometown of Grimsby, Ontario, Leah has touched many lives. She was an adventurer, photographer, animal lover and protector of all things great and small. She spoke up for those who could not speak for themselves and was an active and fierce advocate for social justice. She will be deeply missed. Daughter to Jan Yates (Randy). Dear and cherished friend to Devin Estes. Niece to Bronwyn Lane (Chris), Elizabeth Yates (Mark Skeffington) and John Yates. Cousin to Samuel Lane, Izzy Skeffington and Grace Skeffington. Predeceased by grandparents Marjorie Yates and George Yates. A service in Ontario will be announced at a later time.
