Christopher John ELLERBECK

ELLERBECK, Christopher John With Overwhelming grief and sadness, family and friends announce the sudden, unexpected and tragic passing of Chris on Thursday, February 7, 2019. Deeply mourned by his mum Anne, and his dearest friend and companion Mike. Chris was predeceased by his father Ron in April 2017, and his grandparents John and Deborah Mitchell and Francis and Edna Ellerbeck (Shapiro). He is survived by his aunts and uncles Tom and Sharon Clark of Florida, Robert and Laura Mitchell of Burlington and cousin Amanda Mitchell. Chris was a well-respected, knowledgeable and valued employee of CCOHS Hamilton and will be sadly missed by his many friends and co workers in Hamilton, Burlington and Western Canada. He had wide and varied loves and interest including music - playing the tuba, movies, Scotland, finding and restoring old furniture, photography, and of course computers - he loved fonts! He faithfully watched jeopardy each night and texted his final answer to Anne. There are no words to express the loss we all feel. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 BRANT STREET (One block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) will take place on Thursday February 14, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Hamilton Food share or the S.P.C.A. www.smithsfh.com

I'm heartbroken to hear the news. Chris exuded happiness and was full of purpose. He told me how much loved Mike, his new house, and the new car. He told me more than once he was in a great place. Anne, I'm so sorry for your loss. Chris was larger than life, and he really lived it. I'm grateful to have known him, and I'll miss. Áine Young x
