BOZIC, Nives Age 74, died of Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS) on Sunday, February 3, 2019, peacefully at home in Acton, Ontario. Nives is survived by her sons Eugen, Robert and John. She will be sadly missed by her much adored grandchildren Chesna, Alena, Vincent, Victoria, Lucas, Jack and Jasper. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, beside whom she has been laid to rest. Nives was born July 4, 1944 in Beredine, Italy. She is survived by eight brothers and sisters, all who live overseas. Her home in Buje became part of Yugoslavia and Nives, Ivan and her boys spoke Croatian in their family home before arriving in Winnipeg, Canada, later settling in Toronto, then Acton. Nives was a social, active woman who was deeply involved in the Acton Senior Centre, carpet bowling, line dancing and the horticultural society during her retirement in Acton. She enjoyed gardening, long walks and the company of family and friends. A ""Celebration of Life"" is scheduled for Saturday, March 9, 2019, 12-4 p.m. at the Acton Legion, 15 Wright Avenue. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Nive's life. Bring stories and laughter. The family would like to thank Sunnybrook ALS Clinic for their professional attitudes and guidance.
