Bernard BONEHILL Obituary

BONEHILL, Bernard Bonehill On March 14, 2019, Bernard Bonehill beloved spouse, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away at the age of 85 years. Born in Warrington, UK, came into this world with a warm smile and a song in his heart. Bernie was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be fondly remembered by Bonnie Johnstone, Robert (Amber), Christine Bonehill and their children Nick (Shirley), Jennifer (Greg), Catherine (John), Paul (John) and Tim (Liz). Bernie was a proud grandfather to Jeff, William, Colin, Madison and Nathan. Bernie was a devoted Teacher and Principal with the Halton Catholic School Board for 32 years. He continued his commitment to education as a Teacher Supervisor coaching student teachers at D'Youville College. To the end, Bernie's quick wit, infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit prevailed. Special thanks go out to Dr. Habing (Lincoln Medical Gp, Beamsville) for his exceptional care of Bernie over the years and to the Palliative Care/Emergency teams at Joseph Brant Hospital. A Funeral Mass followed by a Reception of light refreshments will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2265 Headon Road (north of Upper Middle), Burlington on March 20th at 11 a.m. for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
