Ada GREENSLADE Obituary

GREENSLADE, Ada Edith Jane (nee Smith) November 27, 1936-December 21, 2018 Ada passed away at the age of 82 at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, with family at her side. Born in Sprucedale, Ontario, to Percy James Smith and Elizabeth Jane (Jenny) White. Younger sister of Mabel Newman Grasley (Fred and Walter). Loving wife of Aldamer Roy (Hap) Smith and Melvin Greenslade, and partner of Garnet Hunter. A caring mother, Ada was cherished by her children: Brian (Sheila), Carrie Lynn (Michael), and Lisa (Darryl). Doting grandmother to Lauren, Emily (Ryan), and Brandon. Sister-in-law to the late William Morris (Cathie) and the late Julie Morris Kirkpatrick (Bill). Loving aunt to Jim and Joanne, Angela and Derek, and Christopher. Ada was also very fond of Mel's family, including the Greenslades, the Arkells, and the Zells. Friends will be received at Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home - Wasaga Beach, Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on April 12, 2019 from 7- 9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 13, 2019 from 1 - 3 p.m. Words of remembrance at 2 p.m., Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home.
