Gordon ASHTON Obituary

ASHTON, Gordon Passed away peacefully at The Hotel Dieu Shaver site on April 4, 2019 with his loving family by his side. Cherished husband and best friend Rosemary (nee Breen) for 35 years. Loving father of Karin and her husband Jaye McDowell, and Craig and his wife Petra Ashton. Dear grandfather of Brook (Chelsie), Brodie (Natasha), Brandon, and Taylor. Great-grandfather of Morgan. Gordon is survived by his sister Kathleen Wagner and his nephews John and Michael Wagner. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Elizabeth Ashton. He will be greatly missed by his dog, Lexi. Gordon will be remembered for his warm heart and infectious smile. He loved his family and enjoyed every moment spent with them, whether it was travelling, playing golf, watching soccer with them, or sharing a good joke or cold beer, those times were cherished. Gordon loved helping at the Royal Canadian Legion Br # 479 Niagara Falls, watching decorating and game shows on tv, playing cards, and most of all, enjoying a good beer. In honouring Gordon's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at The Royal Canadian Legion, 5603 Spring Street, Niagara Falls. Gordon wanted all his family and friends to know how deeply he cherished their love and friendship.
