Mario AGATE Obituary

AGATE, Mario Life is a gift and our Mario, knowing this, packed as much living into his 86 years as he could. He was born in Palermo, Italy, was a proud Italian and had a successful career in banking. During this phase of his life, he was married for the first time and had four wonderful children whom he adored; Fabiana, Mauro, Laura and Gloria, and three cherished grandchildren. In 1981, fate brought Mario and Marilyn together. They enjoyed their married life living both in Palermo and in Canada. Mario grew to know and love all of Marilyn's family; Wendy, Bob and their sons Matthew and Bradley, and their families. Mario was an active, dynamic man who enjoyed many pursuits such as canoeing, biking, mall-walking and cooking. He enjoyed all genres of music enormously and loved to sing. His kind and generous spirit was evident in his many years of volunteering. He was always ready to help out whenever and however he could. Mario touched many lives and he will always be loved and cherished by his Marilyn, his family and his friends. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
