Ken HINES Obituary

HINES, Ken April 30, 1928 - June 15, 2019 It is with great sadness that the family of Ken Hines announce his sudden passing on June 15, 2019 at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus. Dearest soulmate of Betty for 68 years, loving father of Debbie (Paul), Dale (Denise) and Dennis (Julie). Adored Papa of grandchildren Cara (Brad), Tom (Julie), Justin (Lisa), Josh (Danielle) and great-grandchildren Carter, Lucy, Hannah, Lucas, Liam, Jill and Franklin. Ken is survived and cherished by his sisters Muriel Baxter and Dorothy Minor, brothers Doug Hines and Jerry Hines, and sister-in-law Joanne. Also fondly remembered by brother-in-law Allison (Frances) Murphy, Myrtle (Eric) Willis and Ross (Karen) Murphy and many nieces and nephews. Ken will be sadly missed by family and friends but forever remembered for his love of hockey and his contagious laugh. A memorial service will be held at JW Hart Funeral Home, 113 Lock St East, Dunnville at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, after which family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life at the Dunnville Arena and Community Lifespan Centre, 275 Ramsey Drive, Dunnville. Family would like to thank Dr. John Stickney and the nursing staff in Emergency and Special Care Unit at Groves Memorial Hospital (especially Kathryn and Nicole) for the loving and kind care and support provided during Ken's final days. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Haldimand Memorial Hospital in Dunnville or Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus would be appreciated. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com
