Leighton NICHOLSON Obituary

NICHOLSON, ""Stubby"" Leighton Thomas November 21, 1933 - July 1, 2019 It is with heavy heart that I announce the passing of my very special husband Stubby of almost 61 years. He is predeceased by his parents Emma Ketch Nicholson and Winston Nicholson, sisters Nina, Iola, Jean and Elsie. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Gerry, daughters Marilyn and Dianne (Jim), sisters Cherry, Bonnie, Jane and Sheila. He will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He was born in Hartland, New Brunswick and then made his way to Ontario and married in Burlington, Ontario and then moved to Collingwood in 1972. He worked in the trucking business with Trimac (Canadian Mist); he retired for a very short while, and then went to work for Lewis Motors in Barrie, where he was for the last 22 years until the time of his death. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lewis Motor Sales, 76 Mapleview Dr. W in Barrie on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Lunch available.
