Marilyn STANAWAY Obituary

STANAWAY, Marilyn ""Marnie"" (nee Macfie) November 5, 1939 - July 15, 2019 Our family is heartbroken but grateful for the peaceful passing of Marnie Stanaway at The Carpenter Hospice on July 15, 2019 after dealing with cancer. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Leesa (Jack, predeceased), her son Mike (Denise) and grandchildren, Shelby and Kayla. Predeceased by her parents, Marshall Macfie and Marjorie Macfie Francis. Also pre- deceased by James K. Stanaway. Mom loved and was loved by her entire family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a very kind and gentle person who loved to laugh and had a great sense of humour. Mom was known for loving all things sparkly and glittery (clothing, shoes and accessories) as well as her very vast collection of watches. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of the QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with a service of remembrance beginning at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception. In honour of our mom, please wear something colourful or something that sparkles or glitters. If desired, expressions of sympathy in memory of Marnie to The Carpenter Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family. www.smithsfh.com
