Walter LUXON Obituary

LUXON, Walter Jorey With family by his side, Walter Jorey Luxon passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the age of 98 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Daphne (nee Bastin) in 2003. Dear father of Ray (Susan), Ronald (Anne), Patricia (Greg) Finlayson, and Judi (Jeff) Partridge. Proud grandfather of Andrea, Wade, Amanda, Scott, Michelle, Sarah, Jamie, Carolyn, Kevin, Stephanie, Justin and Jordan; and great-grandfather of five. Walter proudly served with the Royal Canadian Navy on corvette class ships in the North Atlantic during WWII. After the war he worked to become a Master Plumber and was a member of UA Local 67. Later he worked as a building inspector at McMaster University, until his retirement. He enjoyed many personal pursuits as an avid artist, gardener and singer with Barbershop Chorus' in Oakville, Burlington and Dundas. A Celebration of Walter's Life will be held at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME , 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
