NEWBOLD, Raymond E. With heavy hearts our family announces the passing of Ray on Monday, October 14, 2019 at the age of 83. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Joyce (Wade). Dad's legacy will live on in his sons Darren (Amanda) and Brent (Stephanie). Ray was blessed with one granddaughter Courtney who will miss him dearly. Survived by his sister Marilyn Labonte. Our family takes great comfort in knowing that he has now been rejoined with his late brothers George and Charles. Raymond was born in Vineland Ontario where he lived until his time serving in the United States Air Force followed by a 28 year career with the Niagara Regional Police. In keeping with Ray's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will receive guests at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME, 2000 Merrittville Highway, (905-892-1699) on Friday, October 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with vigil prayers being recited at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Thorold on Saturday, October 19th at 11 a.m. with private interment at a later date at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Parkinson's Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family. Please share online condolences at pleasantviewcemetery.ca

My condolences to the Newbold family. Ray was an old school chum from our days at St.Johns separate school on Niagara st. he was a good guy and will be missed.
