June CHARTERS Obituary

CHARTERS, June On October 14, 2019, June Elizabeth Charters (Richardson) RN, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. June was a proud graduate of the Hamilton General Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. Wife of the late Dr. James W. Charters (1998). Loving mother, mother-in-law and grandma of Jim and Andrea (Jimmy) and Dave and Holly (Lauren). Aunt June to Sandra and John Clancy, Samantha (Aubrey and Autumn) and Tyler of Peterborough. Predeceased by her parents Cecil and Meryl Richardson of Peterborough. Her sister and brother-in-law, Kaye and Claude Cornwell and her sister-in-law Margaret Charters. June will be dearly missed by her friends near and far who she made it a point to always stay in contact with. The family would like to thank Dr. Stevenson, Dr. Caverhill and Dr. Hansen for their exceptional care, as well as nurse Mirja, for her devotion at keeping June's wishes and comfort a priority. A special heartfelt thank you to Andrea Charters RN, who devoted herself to the care of June during this very difficult time. A funeral service in memory of June will be held at Central Presbyterian Church, 165 Charlton Ave. West, on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
