DOLAN, Rosemary Faye On October 8, God called one of his special angels, Rose, home at the age of 64 closing the last chapter in the 48-year Love Story of the Rose and the Beaver (her husband John James (Jim) Dolan). Predeceased by her parents Beresford and Helen (n. Burnie) Groskopf, sister Jeanette Stewart and Jim's parents James and Lois (n. Workman) Dolan. Survived by her brother John (Elaine), sisters Frances Thompson (Doug) and Edith Pominville (Glenn) and sisters-in-law Bonnie Green (Richard), Ann Newton (Henry) and Jill Dolan. Rose was loved by many Burnie, Groskopf, Dolan and Workman relatives. Rose captured the Beaver's heart the first time he saw her. She walked straight up to him in July 1971 and said, ""I know who you are Beaver Dolan."" Rose painted The Rose and The Beaver's most memorable adventures not on canvas but through her textured voice, her laughter and her animations that breathed life into each one. To her Groskopf and Dolan families and relatives, her friends, her Kemptville MNR (1973-2014) co-workers, her curling family, and especially Sandy Arcand her life-long friend of 62 years, the Beaver says thank you for touching her life in so many positive ways. Donations may be made in Rose's memory to the Beth Donovan Hospice bethdonovanhospice.ca or the charity of your choice. In keeping with Rose's wishes, a cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26 from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. in the upstairs lounge of the North Grenville Curling Club in Kemptville, Ontario. A celebration of Rose's life will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flower arrangements, the Beaver requests you bring a favourite memory of Rose and if you would like to, a single Rose for a very special Rose. A private graveside burial will take place at the South Gower Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Eternal Care Cremation; to leave a condolence visit www.eternalcare.ca
