COLL-SMITH, Angus Reunited Angus Coll-Smith, at the age of 94, peacefully passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019. He was surrounded by his family who loved and cared for him. Survived by his seven children, Elaine (Erroll), Fiona (Cal), Graeme (Denise), Melanie, Jayne (Roberto), Angus (Corina), Andrea (Giles), his sister Hazel (age 90) and predeceased by his sister Heather. He will be missed by his extended family in Canada, Florida, England and Australia as well as his 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, his nephew, two nieces and all their loving families. Originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne England, Angus proudly served in the British Merchant Navy during WW2. He often shared the story of signing up at age 17 because he was worried that the war would end before he had a chance to 'do his part.' After moving to Canada in 1968, he settled in Burlington, Ontario. In 1975 he opened Baby World of Stoney Creek, a furniture business which remains in the family to this day. Angus enjoyed singing, as a soloist at Hagersville Baptist Church, at home, and even entertained other residents and staff at his long term care centre in recent weeks. While he will be missed by many here, we know Dad is finally back in Barbara's loving arms, singing and smiling. We Love You. As per his wishes, there will be a small private family service. In lieu of flowers we welcome donations to The Alzheimer Society of Canada. Thank you.
