Douglas BLACKBURN Obituary

BLACKBURN, Douglas (Ronald) Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Norma, dear father to Wendy (Ross) and precious grandfather to Nate and Elliott. Brother to Wayne (Joan), Carol, Dale (James) and Neil (Karen). He was truly one of a kind, and the world was a little brighter because of his love for his family, classic cars, music and his incredible sense of humour. Doug's family will happily welcome guests at ""A Celebration of Life"" at HAYDON COMMUNITY HALL 2503 Concession Rd. 8, Haydon on Friday, December 6th, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Norma requests that bright colours and a good pair of dancing shoes be worn to celebrate Doug's sense of fun. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted in Doug's name to help fight pancreatic cancer, and a memorial page has been created at pancreaticcancercanada.ca or 1-888-726-2269.
