Gordon CARTER Obituary

CARTER, Gordon Russell Surrounded by his family, it is with saddened hearts that we announce his passing on Monday, December 9, 2019 at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. Gord was the loving husband of MaryBeth, devoted father of Lisa (Bill), Traci (Paul), Michelle (DJ), Brent (Alicia), and Bonnie (Nelson), brother to Dennis (Dee), dearest friend to Roy (Sandy) and proud Grandpa and Papa to Jacob, Noah, Claire, Jillian, Evelyn, and Lucy. Gord loved spending his time surrounded by the people he loved. Whether he was at work, home, or on the lake he treated everyone like a good friend. He enjoyed fishing, campfires, watching sports and telling stories with the people he loved. Special thanks and appreciation to the staff at West Lincoln for their support, compassion, and loving care. His presence will be missed by many, but his memory will forever remain in our hearts. Now he is reunited with his best friend Harvey. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Wearing bright colours to celebrate Gord's life are encouraged but not necessary. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital would be appreciated. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - ""William J. Markey Chapel"" , 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905-574-0405) on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - Hamilton, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 1 p.m. For those who wish, memorial donations made to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
