Barbara IGNAS Obituary

IGNAS, Barbara Dionysia Peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Predeceased in 2012 by Walter, her beloved husband of 54 years. Beloved mother to Michael (April) and Jacqueline. Cherished grandma to Corey (Amanda), Jasmin and great-grandma to Navah, Daylia and Harrison. Survived by her sister Karleen Hicks and her sister-in-law Ola. Predeceased by Marcia Hanna (Robert). Helen Parker (Doug), Don Wheeler (Jean), Edward Wheeler (Joan) and Jack Wheeler, and her brother-in-law Tom. Sister-in-law of Mary Strazyk (Stanley), Steven (Mary) and Henry (Marie), Edward, Jean Naughton (John) and Ted (Anna). She will be dearly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOMES - 435 Davis Drive (Taylor Kidd Blvd. & Centennial Drive) on Monday, December 16, from 6-8 p.m. Liturgy of the Word Service will be held in our chapel on Tuesday, December 17 at 10:30 a.m. Rite of committal with prayers will follow in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
