Sylvia BOYKO Obituary

BOYKO, Sylvia September 5, 1942 - December 25, 2019 Passed away peacefully in her 78th year to be reunited with her husband Andy (2012). Beloved mother of Andrea (Jerry Bilous), Sylvia (Dan Little) and Gregory (Cami). Cherished Baba of Alexander (Brooklyn), Evan, Holli, Seth, Andrew, Tania, Katie, Emily, Brian, and Matthew. Loving Babcia of Noah and Evelyn. Survived by her sisters Rose and Anne. Predeceased by her siblings Gabriel, Mary, Helen, Michael, and William. She was a loving Auntie to many nieces and nephews and will be missed by many friends and neighbours on Highland Park Drive and in Amica Dundas. Sylvia was a 1963 graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing. She enjoyed a long career serving the community of Hamilton and improving the lives of everyone she touched and in later years specialized in palliative care. Special thank you to the staff at Wentworth Lodge for their loving care and support. A visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, SWACKHAMER CHAPEL, 195 King Street West, Dundas, on Tuesday, December 31, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. with a funeral service to follow in the MARLATT DUNDAS CHAPEL, celebrant is Father Andrew Lopatniuk. In lieu of flowers, donations to the M.S Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
