Vilma LETO Obituary

LETO, Vilma May Passed away peacefully at Derbeckers Heritage Home on Friday, December 27, 2019 at the age of 91. Loving mother of Michael Leto, predeceased by her husband Leo Leto, daughter Beverley Leto, brothers Colin Perry and Donald Perry. Vilma was born in Jamaica in 1928 where she had many fond memories to share with her friends and later her nurses. Vilma used to sing opera in her early days, had a passion for cooking and entertaining, loved theatre, playing scrabble and was very artistic - which was evident by her many wonderful Bunka embroidery pictures. Dear sister of Arlene Kahn and Phyllis Nash (Pete Nash). Vilma is survived by her nieces in Canada Angela Baas (Adrian Baas) and Cathy Cardozo (Gerry Barg). She will also be remembered by her many family members, worldwide. Private cremation has taken place and a private family Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Corbett Funeral Home, Cambridge, ON (519)-740-0669.
