WALINGA, Frances (nee Shea) Passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the Guelph General Hospital with her family by her side. Frances was the beloved wife of the late Douwe Walinga (1965), loving mother of Kathy Batt (Ken), Karen Zorzi and Marie Thompson, loving grandmother of Chris, Brent, Katie, Laura, Carolyn and Blair. Frances was predeceased by her parents Jack and Kathryn Shea, caring sister of Barry Shea (Rosemary), Nancy Pomfret (Jim), Louise MacArthur (the late Don), Gerald and Charles Shea, and the late Dorothy and Mary Shea, the late Joan Steen, and survived by brother-in-law Albert Steen. Frances will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Resting at the
Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, "Dublin Chapel" , 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph, where the family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 from 6 - 9 p.m. A vigil will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Church of Our Lady, 28 Norfolk Street, Guelph at 10 a.m. Entombment Marymount Mausoleum, Guelph.
