TOXOPEUS, Danica Olivia Ryan and Paige (née Hilton) are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter, Danica Olivia Toxopeus, on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 2:27 p.m. Danica surprised everyone by making her world debut six weeks early. She weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and was 20 inches long. Danica came home on happy and healthy on February 17 after spending three-and-a-half weeks in the special care nursery at Guelph General Hospital. Proud grandparents are Carla Toxopeus of Thunder Bay, Ron Toxopeus of Lyndhurst and Janice Hilton of Thunder Bay; great-grandparents are Phyllis and Charles Kivari of Thunder Bay and Ellen Toxopeus of Kingston. Danica is also welcomed by aunt and uncle Nicole and Mike Dahlquist and cousin Gray Dahlquist of Guelph, and many great-aunts and -uncles and other family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Elliott, Dr. Promnitz, labour and delivery nurse Andrea, and all the nurses on Guelph General's sixth floor and in the nursery.
