VALENTE, Gilberte (Lagace) Peacefully, on Tuesday February 2, 2010 at The Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, in her 92nd year. Beloved mother of Mario and his wife Arlene, Maureen Whelan and her husband Arthur. Survived by her sister Claire Thompson. Gilberte will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Phaedra and her husband David Young, Kimberly Cook and her husband Dave and by her three great grandchildren Sarah, Jessica and Adam. In accordance with Gilberte's wishes, there will be no funeral service. A memorial service will be held for Gilberte later in the spring. For those so wishing, donations on behalf of Gilberte and her family may be directed to the Canadian Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of your choice.
