MACLENNAN, JOHN A. On December 3, 2011, beloved husband and very best friend of Sandy, and adored Dad of Benjie and Sara. After returning from his tri-weekly bike ride up Sydenham Hill, he collapsed and despite our neighbour, Dave Longo's heroic efforts, John did not survive. No doubt, he is now outstanding in his new field. John is a former teacher, coach and mentor at Nelson High School in Burlington, and dedicated community volunteer. After a private family service, a public celebration of John's life will be held at Marshall Memorial United Church, 20 Gilbert Ave. (Fiddler's Green Rd.), Ancaster at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 9th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christian Horizons who have lovingly cared for Benjie. Bring your best "John" anecdote -hats are welcome!
