SCOTT, James Harold 'Jim' - Born December 27, 1930, in Walkerton, Bruce County, only son of Alberta (nee Pinkerton) and Harold Scott, died peacefully and surrounded by family, on August 10, 2009 at Golden Years nursing home in Cambridge, Ont. Predeceased by his second wife, Gloria nee Seymour and survived by his first wife, Marilyn (nee Austin) as well as children, Ian and Trudy, Suzanne and Doug, Sandra-Lynn (Tammy) and Tim, Christine and Bruce, John, Anne and Graeme. Jim is also survived by his grandchildren, Shannan, Jamie, Erin, Jim, Nick, Lauren, Shawn, Heather, Katie, and great-grandchildren Joshua and Caleb. Jim worked as a mechanic at his father Harold's Garage until 1961 when he moved to Exeter. Jim found sobriety in 1967 and moved back to Walkerton, later moving to Cambridge in 1970 where he was the body-shop manager at Bennett Chev Olds and later worked for, and retired from, the Gore Insurance Company. The family will receive friends at Corbett Funeral Home , 95 Dundas Street N., Cambridge on Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place at the funeral home chapel on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 1 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. www.corbettfuneralhome.ca
